2016 College Football Kickoff Game 8/26

Time zone math is needed for the 2016 College Football Kickoff game on August 26th.  Here in the States it is at 10PM but down under it is in the middle of the day on August 27th.  Fire up those DeLorean time machines and lets us go back to the future for some profit.  Great to see everyone here at HRWager starting off their weekend.  Cal and Hawaii start the 2016 college football season in the Sydney Bowl.  This game will count as a regular season win or loss for their records and associated props.  Can Cal cover the nearly 20 point spread all these miles away from home?

2016 College Football Kickoff : Hawaii and Travel

If any team can be used to this sort of trek, it is Hawaii.  Back and forth to the mainland several times a season has travel down pat as much as it can be for any team.  Another advantage in taking the Rainbows +19.5 or so is that the expectations on this Cal team are too high.  Great strides they have made from a one win team a few years ago.  Goff got drafter #1 from last year’s eight win team.  Only five players return on the offense from last year.  Defense gave up over 30 points per game also.  They will need to almost keep Hawaii to single digits in this one for the win.

Ideal Wager

Both teams have a ton of rebuilding to do.  Rainbows at 3-10 last year were doormatts in most regards.  Former QB is now their coach.  He got his chops as the Nevada offensive coordinator.  So he can move the ball and knows what it is like playing and traveling with this team.  Nick Rolovich will have them up for at least a half in this game.

This is where one should strike.  Hawaii + 12 1/2 is a lot to spot a team so wrecked on the offensive side of the ball.  A lot of pieces to replace.  Wholesale changes that might sync up in the game but takes a half to get going.  Hawaii + 12 1/2 first half is your College Football Play of the Day.
