NCAAM Free Pick : UCLA’s Final Stand
HRWager’s NCAAM Free Pick focuses on UCLA’s current state of affairs. Steve Alford has taken a team and once again under performed. The Bruins are 12-8 and near the cellar of the Pac -12. Worse yet, they lost at Oregon in a game where they were out rebounded by double digits. Late tonight, they host the Washington Huskies in an almost must win. Find out which what profit goes to in this one where UCLA is a current six point home favorite.
NCAAM Free Pick : Huskies
Washington was a surprise leader of the Pac-12 but they lost not only to Utah but their lead in the conference. Oregon has caught up to them with a 5-2 conference record. This year, there is balance up and down the league. This is good for a team like Washington that has two very good players but little depth. Andrew Andrews is taking it to the league with over twenty points, six rebounds and nearly five assists per game. He has one other player helping him and then a dramatic dropoff in talent.
Work the Boards
Big men on the front line that allow themselves to get pushed around. They have the size but not the heart or technique to keep people off of the glass. Against Oregon, the margin on the boards was in the double digits. Worse, the Ducks had their way on their own offensive glass. Talent is there at UCLA but can Alford muster the troops now that their back is against the wall?
This is the second game. UCLA lost in double overtime at Washington. This time -6 at home is a lot to give this Bruins team. However, look for them to fly from the gate tonight. The situation is obvious to them and they can keep it together for a half. Wager the – 3 1/2 on the Bruins for the first half for your HRWager Free Pick of the Day. Good fortune and we will see you next time here at the HRW.
