The Blue Devils are coached by David Cutcliffe, an Alabama native who got injured playing high school football, an event that prevented him from playing with the Crimson Tide.
Nick Saban, Alabama’s coach, had some great words of praise for Duke’s coach, saying that “We have a tremendous amount of respect for David, and he’s offensively probably one of the best minds in this era of our game.”
The Blue Devils will be quite young this season as the team is facing a lot of injuries within its roster.
Plus, they experienced some significant departures to the NFL.
And so they are rebuilding, trying to create the same kind of capable roster that has kept this team as one of the ablest ones in college.
The good news is that they still count with great running backs such as Brittain Brown and Deon Jackson, making their rebuilding process a lot easier.
