Fading expectations might be the theme for our Arizona New York Expert Pick of the Day. It is great to see everyone again here at HRWager. Zach Greinke is 10-3 this season with an elevated 3.62 ERA for the season. About a month on the DL with an oblique issue, he got rocked in his final rehab start at AAA. Now he faces Mets team where added bats might be finally getting the run production this team needs. Both the handicappers and sharps liked the Mets here. -117 ML opener has gone down to -128 on the New York team. Totals have been bet up from seven to 7 1/2. Key here is how the NY pitcher comes into this game.
Matz Merely Average So Far
Steven has stumbled as the film on him grows. He is in the midst of a 1-7 streak which has seen his ERA go up to the mid fours. Young pitcher whose innings are starting to pile up. His bad record is more reflective of past run production problems. Numbers for him have been pretty steady. He does get his fair share of strikeouts but has problems working out of jams. Our forecast is for him to struggle somewhat tonight.
Total is where the profit is at. 7 1/2 is still too low. Grienke is working out the kinks and AAA ball got to him last time out. Matz gives you average performances.
