Baseball Profit Taking on Cleveland @ Kansas City 6/13
June is the prime time for baseball profit taking. Almost every team, sorry Atlanta, still has hope for the season. So while the lineups are at their most stable, our sporting wisdom translates into a high probability of beating the books. Good Morning HRWager fans. Today we look at the key AL Central tilt between Cleveland and Kansas City. Royals can not afford to squander home field in a chance to close the three game gap between them and The Tribe. Oddsmakers have a different vantage point proclaiming the visitors as the favorite for this one. Which path will lead to profit for this 8PM start on Monday, June 13th?
Baseball Profit : Skewed Stats
Cleveland has won six of seven so far this season against the Royal but all at home. Now the tables have turned for a team that has terribly polarizing results home and away. KC is a pathetic 13-23 on the road while reversing this trend to the tune of a 19-7 mark at home. Edinson Volquez started the season on fire but just like his team mates, his results have swiftly sailed southward after the first month. May was bad but June has been even worse. A 6.35 ERA in his last three has been in part because of his seven walks. A WHIP of 1.47 is bad but slightly lower than the short term ERA he has posted in this plunge. In short, he can turn it around with just a few adjustments rather than a massive overhaul that would take a chunk of the season to accomplish.
Tribe Favored?!
Jose Urbie should be out for this one. The term testicular contusion would not have any modern athlete hopping to get right back in play. He took a grounder to that region on Sunday. Carrasco has pitched average in the last three. What will hurt the Indians is the heavy air expected in KC tonight. We are looking at 85 degrees with at least 50 percent humidity. Combine that with little wind and the ball is not going anywhere out of the park soon. This has the advantage to the scrape together offense of the Royals.
Total has gone up from 7 1/2 to 8 in this one with an even -110 split on both the under and over. KC getting +124 is a good bargain here as well. Our recommendations are the under total and KC to win. Good fortune in tonight’s matchup and we will see you tomorrow here at HRWager.
