Big 12 Preview : Kansas at Texas 9PM on 2/29

Our Big 12 Preview at HRWager focuses on a Kansas team that has clinched at least a share of the conference title for the 12th straight season.  The paragon of stability in NCAA basketball faces constant adjustment against the Jayhawks by linesmakers.  Knowing this, is Kansas at only a two point road favorite status the play of the day to profit by on this Leap Year Day?

Big 12 Preview : Attrition

Big 12 preview

Weary legs have to be plaguing even a team of Kansas’ ability.  Winning at home against Texas Tech on Saturday see them immediately hit the road for a Monday venture into Longhorn territory.  The letdown is also possible after achieving one of their goals. Finally, the expected ego boost to #1 in the polls could have Kansas resting on their laurels this evening.  All of this has the line shifted away from the normal -4 to 5 they should be in an optimal situation at Texas.

Texas Tough to Play At

Ask these teams how hospitable Texas was at home.

  1. Tar Heels
  2. Iowa State
  3. WVU
  4. Oklahoma

Here we have a Texas team that jumped to a double digit lead in Lawrence before the house caved in.  They at least know that they have the talent to keep the Jayhawks down in limited spurts.  Isaiah Taylor has been playing a very high level of basketball both as of late and historically against Kansas.  Alas the team has not fared so well as Texas has lost nine out of ten against Rock Chalk Jayhawk.  To be fair, every KU team was top 15 material while the Longhorns program has been rebuilding to this point.

Now or never to recoup those investments on lost Texas wagers in the past.  This is the best juncture for Texas to show Kansas what they are about.  Energy, home crowd, and the let down factor all conspire against the Jayhawks.  Go with the Texas ML to boost your bankroll tonight.  Good fortune and we will see you tomorrow here at the HRW.
