Monday saw him get two more doubles before going down. Needless to say, he is anticipated to be out for this one. Pena’s status behind the plate might be in doubt. He is the former Royal who took Molina’s place until he regains his health. Pena has had a gimpy knee and catching three days straight is hard so early after healing from it. Needless to say, they are going to have to lean on Wacha to be lights out for the Cardinals this evening.
Wacha is enough for tonight. Last three has seen him get a WHIP of just 0.89. 2.11 ERA has not been hurt by his seven walks. If he keeps them down then St. Louis should win.
