Thinks They are in Canada

Calgary must look at the weather outside and wonder.  The hurricane and winter storm brought some snow down in the Carolina’s this weekend.  THis team is in the middle of a long road trip.  However, two factors are good for them.  One is that they got two complete days of rest from the Thursday win against the Blue Jackets.  Secondly, Sam Bennett has eight goals in five games.  The 19 year old has not hit the wall yet and is pretty much the Flames lone bright spot here.

Look Past the Stats

Goaltender Eddie Lack may not have the most stellar of stats but Carolina has been hot.  5-3-2 in their last ten.  More importantly, the coaching staff has confidence in him as they are going more up tempo.  Even when they face on average 32 shots the last three games, they can pour it on late.  They outshot the Rangers 12 to 1 in the final period to demonstrate this.  Now they have to focus on getting D Justin Faulk back on the score sheet.  Scoreless in his last thirteen, if the hurricanes can get him to hum then they can keep this momentum going.

Carolina is near -130 to win tonight and the over under 5 total is nearly even.  Calgary might get a goal from their young star but that is it.  Hurricanes will be oddly business like tonight.  Look for the under five to come in and the Carolina win as well.  The under five has a better price so that is our recommendation.  Good fortune and we will see you later today here at the HRW.
