2019 Week 9 NFL Power Rankings, Football Odds

Week 9 of the 2019 NFL season starts today with a Thursday Night Football clash between the Niners and the Cardinals.

Here’s a quick review at the current top 10 teams in the NFL and a glimpse at what’s coming for them…

#-1: New England Patriots (8-0)

The Patriots are at the top of the rankings with eight straight victories, with the last one against the Browns by 27-13 on Week 8. Last week they were also first, and they didn’t allow anybody to take their spot at #1.

Next week / Ravens: New England visits Baltimore, a team they haven’t faced since 2016 when the Pats defeated the Ravens 30-23 at Foxborough. The last time the Patriots played in Baltimore, they got away with a 41-7 victory.

Get the best Patriots odds here at HRwager. Register now and start betting on the NFL.

#2: New Orleans Saints (7-1)

The Saints are currently riding a 5-game winning streak, and they demolished the Cardinals 31-9 on Week 8, in Drew Brees’s return to action. Last week they were second, and are still there for Week 9.

Next week / BYE: The Saints are finally getting some deserved off time, getting ready for Week 10 when they host the Falcons at NOLA.

#3: San Francisco 49ers (7-0)

The 49ers completely demolished the Panthers on Week 8 by 51-13, and they are currently going through the best start for this franchise since 1990. Last week they were fourth, and after such good results, they’ve escalated one position and are now third overall.

Next week / Cardinals: This is the real fire test for this team this season. Arizona has defeated San Francisco 8 straight times, including a series swept for four years in a row.

#4: Green Bay Packers (7-1)

The Packers are currently running on a 4-game winning streak, including a close 31-24 win over the Chiefs on Week 8. Last week they were third overall, but they’re still close at the fourth position heading to Week 9.

Next week / Chargers: The Packers are visiting Los Angeles to face the Chargers. This is the first time these two teams face each other since 2015. As of late, Green Bay owns this series, having won the last 7 games dating back to 1993.

#5: Minnesota Vikings (6-2)

Vikings have won four straight, including a 19-9 victory over the Redskins on Week 8. The Vikes were seventh last week, but after some continuous positive results, they are now fifth overall.

Next week / Chiefs: This is the first time the Vikings are visiting Arrowhead Stadium since 2011, and the first meeting between the two since 2015. That last meeting ended up in a close 16-10 win for the Vikes at Minnesota.

#6: Baltimore Ravens (5-2)

Quarterback Lamar Jackson and the offensive of this team has been pretty solid this year. But the same can’t be said of their defense. However, traded for cornerback Marcus Peters recently, and this player was outstanding versus the Seahawks, showing that Baltimore can reshape their defensive plans and be ready for what’s coming.

Next week / Patriots: The Ravens are facing their toughest challenge yet this season as they’re hosting the Patriots, a team that hasn’t lost, and that appears unstoppable.

#7 Seattle Seahawks (6-2)

The Seahawks bounced back from their second loss of the season on Week 7 to the Ravens with a close 27-20 win over the Falcons on Week 8. It seems like the Russell Wilson / DK Metcalf duo is ready to inflict more pain on rival offensive lines.

Next week / Buccaneers: The Seahawks are returning home to host the Buccaneers, a team they haven’t faced since 2016 when Tampa handled Seattle a 14-5 loss at Raymond James Stadium.

#8 Indianapolis Colts (5-2)

The Colts came up with a close 15-13 victory over the Broncos last week, and that meant their third win in a row. The highlight of the day was T.Y. Hilton, who came up with the big, game-winning play of the day late in the fourth quarter.

Next week / Steelers: Indy is heading to Pittsburgh to play the Steelers, a team they haven’t faced at Steel City since 2015. The Colts are looking for some redemption against the Steelers as they have lost five in a row to Pittsburgh, including a 20-17 narrow loss back in 2017.

#9 Kansas City Chiefs (5-3)

The Chiefs hosted the Packers last week, and Aaron Jones hurt their defense deeply in what ended up being a 31-24 loss for Green Bay. They were again playing with Matt Moore as their starting quarterback as reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes wasn’t quite ready to return yet.

Next week / Vikings: The Chiefs are hosting the Vikings, a team that’s suddenly hot with four victories in a row. The last time the Vikes came to Kansas City was back in 2011 when the Chiefs handled them a 22-17 defeat.

#10 Buffalo Bills (5-2)

The Bills suffered a terrible, embarrassing 31-13 lost to the struggling Eagles last week at Orchard Park. Quarterback Josh Allen threw for two touchdowns, but Buffalo’s defense proved very inaccurate as Allen was also sacked four times.

Next week / Redskins: The Bills will be playing their third home game in a row as they’re hosting Washington. The last time these teams played was back in 2015 when the Bills suffered a 35-25 defeat.

With No True Favorites, How Will The NBA Develop This Year?

With No True Favorites, How Will The NBA Develop This Year?

The NBA will be different this season, and the reason is that there are no real favorites, and the race for the title will be wide open.

So, here are a few unusual factors that can play a significant role in how the season may develop, and in who’s going to be reigning supreme.

Big Twos Is the New Trend at the NBA

I’m sure you’re familiarized with the Big Threes at the NBA, but the Big Two is the new trend, and the league’s most powerful teams feature two top players.

First, we have the Clippers, with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. The Lakers have LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The Rockets have James Harden and Russell Westbrook. The Nets have Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. There’s still a team with Big Threes, the Sixers, who are ready for a new title shot with Al Horford, Ben Simmons, and Joel Embiid.

It’s clear that the trend is for powerful duos and title-contending teams will be dependent on the depth factor to achieve their goals.

Out of these teams above, the two with the most chances toward the title are the Clippers. The reason? Well, even if you have two top names in your team, you have to give them the rest they need and deserve. The second most important team from LA counts with a heavy roster with the right replacements to make sure the franchise remains competitive even when its stars are getting refueled outside the court.

A Real Title Race

Let’s be honest: the best team in the NBA for the past few years was the Warriors, period! But with their dynasty gone, and after missing last year’s title to the Raptors, Golden State will not be the almighty franchise we are used to watching.

Bet on the Warriors to win the title, check out our NBA betting futures, and get in your bets before the season begins. Register now to enjoy the best NBA odds and payouts.

In recent years, every season seemed like an inevitable road to a rematch of favorites.

But this time, things are different as there are at least 8 teams that have a real shot at getting the title. Such teams are the Clippers, Lakers, Rockets, Sixers, Jazz, Bucks, Nuggets, and of course, the Warriors (can’t dismiss them until Stephen Curry leaves the team!). In numbers, that is a third of the full NBA!

Now, each one of those teams has something new to learn, or a fatal flaw to work on, and they have 82 games to do so. Indeed, this is the return of real parity to professional basketball!

Best LA Player, and Team: LeBron versus Kawhi

With all the stars and everything new in the league, a lot of NBA fans want to know one thing: who’s going to reign supreme in Los Angeles: LeBron James, or Kawhi Leonard…

LeBron James and the Lakers:

Let’s make something clear: LeBron has been part of the NBA for 17 seasons, and he’s slowing down. In fact, last year, he suffered the first significant wear-and-tear of his career, and he’s not getting any younger at almost 35 years old. Plus, he’s entering this season with extra heavy competition for the title of the best player in the world, with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant, and of course, the current MVP and winner of the 2018-2019 title, Kawhi Leonard.

With that said, nobody questions the capacity LeBron still has for big things. The problem for LeBron is the rest of the Lakers roster. Yes, he now has Anthony Davis supporting him, and that’s a big plus, as AD can help James manage the load for the full season. But the truth is that this LA franchise is light on shot creation, and this can be a big problem as the season deepens.

Bet on the Lakers to win it all, register or log in now to place your bets. Do you have what it takes to choose the 2020 NBA Champion? Bet Now!

Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers:

Sure, players like Curry and Giannis may have more impressive resumes, but last year Leonard showed the league and the world just what he’s capable of doing. This next decade can be for Leonard what the previous one was for LeBron. Kawhi has always been a player that put limits on himself, probably to avoid injuries and similar things.

But last year, he removed every single self-imposed limit and achieved NBA greatness. So, how this season will develop for the Clippers will depend on how much Leonard is willing to give.

If he plays limits-free and gives 110% percent just like last year, the chances are that the second most important team from LA will be crowned champs over their more famous counterparts.

UFC 244 Betting Odds, Who’s The BMF at The UFC?

UFC 244 Betting Odds, Who’s The BMF at The UFC?

UFC 244 it’s days away from taking place, and here’s a fight preview of what you can expect from the main event and a couple of other exciting bouts from this card.

The BMF: A UFC Title Like No Other in MMA Fighting

All the MMA fighting action is coming to Madison Square Garden on November 2nd with a pay-per-view event that includes a very unique and brand new title, the BMF.

The main card of this event is going to be Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal. They won’t be fighting for an actual belt, but for a title which Dana White just came up with, the BMF (I’m pretty sure you know what that stands for). According to sources, the winner of this fight will take home a reported $50K.

Bet on Diaz vs. Masvidal, register now and enjoy the best UFC odds. Get a 100% Free Play Bonus by making a minimum deposit of $100.

If that weren’t enough, it would be Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who’ll be presenting the new belt to the winner. It seems unusual, but this is a late plan to cover for the missing UFC fight between Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington, a bout that was supposed to be the main event at UFC 244.

When this fight got canceled, White came up with the idea of putting up an exciting fight, not for a title, but an actual money fight with fan-favorite fighters.

The winner of the BMF title is likely to get a shot at fighting Usman for a real title. The next bout for the BMF title may also come versus Conor McGregor, in what can be another money fight to find the ultimate bad boy of mix martial arts.

Masvidal versus Diaz Betting Odds

If you like good MMA fights, the main event has all the ingredients, and it’s likely to get violent! Neither of these two fighters is part of the UFC’s pound-for-pound elite, but this is doubtlessly a fight many fans of the sport want to see and in the words of a famous sports reporter… It’s classic UFC, man!

Who is Diaz?

Diaz, 34, is a UFC fighter famous for his brutal back and forth with McGregor in 2016, and also for defeating Anthony Pettis in August at UFC 241. He became a professional MMA fighter back in 2004 and had 20 victories in a total of 31 fights. Including 5 knockouts and 12 submissions.

Who is Masvidal?

Also 34, he is famous for defeating Ben Askren back in July in what has been considered the UFC’s fastest all-time knockout. His professional career started back in 2003, a year earlier than Diaz’s. Right now, he holds a record of 33-13, including 14 knockout victories, and 2 submissions.

Co-Main Event: Kelvin Gastelum versus Darren Till Betting Odds

While the main event at UFC 244 is all about fire, gasoline, and BMF’s, the co-main event it’s redemptive. Because neither of these fighters has won a fight since early 2018.

So, both of them must put up a good show if they want to remain as part of the MMA 185-pound elite.

Gastelum vs. Till will be an exciting fight, get ready to bet on it by registering now at HRwager.

Fight to Keep an Eye On: Kevin Lee versus Gregor Gillespie Betting Odds

This one it’s a pretty interesting one as it’s a bout between two fighters that are coming to this fight with different recent backgrounds.

On the one hand, we have Lee, who’s coming from two straight losses to Al Iaquinta and Rafael dos Anjos respectively. On the other hand, we have Gillespie, who hasn’t lost a professional MMA fight since he turned pro back in 2014.

As you can see, it’s clear that these November 2nd fights at New York have all the right ingredients to please even the most demanding UFC fans…

And, if you want to make things even more interesting, we invite you to visit our sportsbook and get your UFC betting action in on your favorite fighters!

Best of luck!

NFL Week 6 Betting Previews and Predictions, HRwager Sportsbook

NFL Week 6 Betting Previews and Predictions, HRwager Sportsbook

Here are three NFL betting previews for Week 6, starting with games featuring some of the best teams in the NFL, and finishing with a preview of the game between the worst two teams in the NFL.

The Games Featuring the Best Teams

These are the two games featuring two teams that currently hold high spots at the NFL power rankings:

Texans at Chiefs Betting Preview

The Chiefs entered their game versus Indy in Week 5 as one of the only unbeaten team, but they ended up with their first loss of the season, and with a limping starting quarterback. Although he played the full game, Patrick Mahomes got injured in his left ankle, and that can be an important factor when they face the Texans in Week 6.

Houston has been a little erratic during the start of the season, but after a convincing 53-32 win over the Falcons last week, they’ve proven that they’re getting their house in order.

Will Mahomes be ready for this game? If he is, then Kansas City has the option to continue to dominate the top power ranking positions in the NFL. Otherwise, the team may begin to struggle, primarily because of their deficient rushing offensive.

Eagles at Vikings Betting Preview

Philly and Minnesota are both coming to this game after very convincing victories in Week 5.

The Eagles were able to defeat the Jets 31-6 while the Vikings took down the Giants 28-10.

Now both of these teams are 3-2 and will be looking for their fourth win of the season when they meet at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Ready to bet on the Eagles vs. Vikings? Register now to place your bets.

Although the Eagles will be visiting, they are coming with lots of confidence after defeating the Cowboys, proving that they have what it takes to beat title-contending teams. Considering how wide open the NFC is right now, this could be a preview of a potential NFC title game or even a game between two teams that could miss the postseason. It all depends on how everything goes down.

According to the experts, if Philly manages to get healthy, they could turn into the best football team in the conference.

Let The Worst NFL Team Win!

There’s good news for both Dolphins and Redskins fans, as their respective teams will be playing each other!

Yes! The battle of the teams that haven’t won a single game this current season. They are set to play in Week 6 at Hard Rock Stadium.

So, in a battle of the current worst teams in the league, anything can happen, and both have the chance to win their first game of the season, with Miami holding a little edge as they’re home for the game.

Washington is the actual favorite with -3½-105 and a -182 money line. Miami lost its past games by a considerable margin, and nobody wants to label them as the favorites for any games at all.

But things are not as bad for this particular game, as they are -3½ point underdogs, so the opening line is pretty close, probably because the Redskins are a very dysfunctional team at the moment.

Redskins Will Feature a New Coach

Now, what’s interesting about this match is that the Redskins will be featuring a new head coach as Washington decided to fire Jay Gruden after a 0-5 start.

Yes, after going 35-49-1 in six seasons, the team decided it was time to get a new leader. The man called to replace Gruden is Bill Callahan, the current offensive line coach for Washington. Callahan will assume on an interim basis, but he has already coached the Raiders in the NFL, and the team of Nebraska in college football.

As you can see, Week 6 will be featuring games that you definitely want to watch for different reasons.

Add more excitement to these games by placing a bet on them. Register now at HRwager and enjoy the fastest payouts in the industry.

Yankees vs. Twins Gambling Odds, 2019 ALDS Prop Bets

Yankees vs. Twins Gambling Odds, 2019 ALDS Prop Bets

New York beat Minnesota during the regular season, winning four of six games, and are ready for what’s coming in the ALDS.

The Yankees have dominated the Twins during the postseason since 2003. This is not very good news for Minnesota as both teams will be facing each other once again in the American League division series.

HRwager offers the best MLB baseball gambling odds and bonuses. Enjoy the postseason and bet on the Yankees and Twins, find the biggest selection of baseball prop bets and futures, register now to place your bets.

New York is 5-for-5 versus the Twins since 2003 and holds a 13-2 playoffs record versus Minnesota. The Twins President, David St. Peter is not frightened at all by the situation. He feels that the current roster of his team has no ties at all with past ALDS disappointments.

Things are not starting well for the Twins. The first game of this series will be at the Bronx, which means that the Yankees are the ones with the home advantage for this best-of-five series.

Since 2003 in the playoffs New York won the ALDS series in 2003, 2004 and 2009, and they also beat the Twins in the AL Wild Card game at Yankee Stadium back in 2017.

To beat the Yankees at least once at the playoffs is going to be a real accomplishment for Minnesota as New York us currently on a 10—game postseason streak versus the Twins.

Current State of the Teams

The most significant factor for the Twins is their offense. They were the leaders in home runs for most of the season and finished with a total of 307, which is now a historical league record.

They had 304, one less than the Yankees, but scored three during their last regular season match, allowing them to climb the ladder of major league glory. The team’s leaders are designated hitter Nelson Cruz and outfielder Max Kepler, with 41 and 36 home runs each respectively.

The Twins have eight players with at least 20 homers this current season. With this offensive lineup being made up mostly of right-handed batters. Probably not good news for J.A. Happ and CC Sabathia, as both of these left-handed pitchers struggled a lot this season versus right-handed batters.

If the Yankees might struggle with the offensive power of right-handed batters, they might as well use a right-handed pitcher, and that is likely to be Masahiro Tanaka. But Tanaka is only an option if James Paxton, their best pitcher, is not ready for the game.

Paxton was suffering some nerve irritation, which shortened his time on the team’s last regular-season game to just one inning. Yankees GM Brian Cashman said that they’ve been cautious with Paxton’s recovery so that the player could be ready for the postseason.

So, you think the Twins have the chance to twist luck in their favor, or will the Yankees continue to dominate New York? Only time will tell. Are you ready to bet on the MLB playoffs? Register now to begin!

  • Event date: Monday, September 16, 2019, 8:15 PM
  • Place: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey

Browns Odds to Win

The Browns made a lot of moves during the offseason, including the addition of Odell Beckham Jr.

And needless to say, everybody wants to see how the passing connection between Baker Mayfield and Beckham Jr. is going to turn out this regular season. If these two can connect well, this can end up being an elite duo in the league.

Indeed, this team has a lot of fantastic talent, on paper, but these few first games will let us know if the Browns are a title contender or not.

Jets Odds to Win

When it comes to the Jets, not much is expected from them as they are starting over. This team had an awful previous season, finishing 4-12, and they will be trying to avoid another embarrassment like this again.

With that in mind, they let go the defensive-minded Todd Bowls and hired a more offensive head coach in Adam Gase.

Passing duties will be handled by second-year quarterback Sam Darnold, who now counts with new targets in wide receiver Jamison Crowder and tailback LeVeon Bell.

Can the Jets surprise this season and upset the big teams. Find the best Jets odds at our NFL sportsbook.

Last 3 Matches

When it comes to their last meetings, the Jets are ahead 2-1, but the Browns won the last one of these games.

Here’s the head-to-head info:

  • September 20, 2018 = 21-17 / BROWNS WIN
  • October 8, 2017 = 17-14 / JETS WIN
  • October 30, 2016 = 31-28 / JETS WIN

As we can see, these matches have been pretty close, which means that these teams are not that superior one from the other.

And even though the Browns are one of the favorites to win the AFC North, and the Jets are not a favorite all, the stats tell us that they are very similar when they face each other.

League Rankings:

When it comes to league rankings, the Browns are superior to the Jets on all fields, except on defense, let’s see:

Browns

  • Offense: 13th in the league
  • Defense: 30th in the league
  • Passing: 14th in the league
  • Rushing: 14th in the league

Jets

  • Offense: 29th in the league
  • Defense: 25th in the league
  • Passing: 25th in the league
  • Rushing: 26th in the league

Injury Report:

Here’s a quick injury report so you know which players won’t be making it to the football field on September 16 for this match:

Are you ready for the first week of the NFL regular season? If so, these two game previews will definitely help you to figure out whom to put your money on…

Panthers vs Rams Preview – September 8

The Panthers are opening their regular season at home, playing vs the Rams at Bank of America Stadium on September 8.

Carolina finished last season with a 7-9 record, finishing third in the NFC South, and this was a step down from the 11-5 record they obtained two seasons ago.

With that said, Cam Newton is one of the top quarterbacks in the league, but if this team wants good results, the Panthers should focus on protecting him, and on getting Newton the right passing targets.

The Rams were one of the top teams last season, finishing with a 13-3 record, and winning the NFC conference.

The team failed badly at Super Bowl LIII, and they want to prove their fans that they still what it takes to advance to the most important game in American football.

Indeed, LA has way too much talent not to make it to the postseason, and this road game against a powerful team such as the Panthers will prove beneficial to see where they are standing right now.

  • The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Carolina’s last 5 games.

Seahawks vs Bengals Preview – September 8

The Seahawks are starting their regular-season schedule at home, playing vs the Bengals in Week 1 against the Bengals.

Despite experiencing a lot of player turnover during the offseason, the Seahawks are one of the favorites to make it to the Super Bowl this year.

New defensive faces include Ezekiel Ansah and KJ Wright, and when it comes to their offensive, Doug Baldwin retired, so Russell Wilson will have to find new targets for his flawless passes.

With that said, Russell is a top QB, and probably the main reason why this team is still considered a title contender.

When it comes to the Bengals, they opened up last season strong, with a 4-1 record, but for some reason things started to go south for them later on their schedule, winning just two more matches, and finishing with a disastrous 6-10 record.

And, just like with Seattle, this team also experienced a lot of offseason moves. The first of these was letting Marvin Lewis go (after 16 years with the team).

Instead of Lewis, they hired Zac Taylor, a former assistant for the Rams to fill the empty head coaching role.

Andy Dalton is returning as their first-string quarterback, and his top weapons this season are going to be Joe Mixon and AJ Green.

So, can the Bengals come up with another strong start? Or will they experience their first loss on their first game of the upcoming season? Only time will tell…

Seahawks:

  • Seattle are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games.
  • The total has gone OVER in 8 of Seattle’s last 9 games.
  • Seattle are 6-2 SU in their last 8 games.
  • The total has gone OVER in 6 of Seattle’s last 7 games against Cincinnati.
  • Seattle are 5-0 SU in their last 5 games at home.
  • The total has gone OVER in 4 of Seattle’s last 5 games when playing at home against Cincinnati.
  • The total has gone OVER in 9 of Seattle’s last 11 games against an opponent in the AFC conference.
  • Seattle are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games against an opponent in the AFC North division.
  • Seattle are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games played in September.
  • Seattle are 4-1 SU in their last 5 games played on a Sunday.

Bengals:

  • Cincinnati are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games.
  • Cincinnati are 1-7 SU in their last 8 games.
  • Cincinnati are 0-5 SU in their last 5 games on the road.
  • The total has gone OVER in 4 of Cincinnati’s last 5 games when playing on the road against Seattle.
  • The total has gone OVER in 4 of Cincinnati’s last 5 games against an opponent in the NFC conference.
  • Cincinnati are 6-1 SU in their last 7 games against an opponent in the NFC West division.
  • Cincinnati are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games played in September.
Alabama Meets Blue Devils at Chick-Fill-A Kickoff Game

Alabama Meets Blue Devils at Chick-Fill-A Kickoff Game

NCAA college football is opening with an outstanding match between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Duke Blue Devils and we have the best college football gambling odds for you here at HRwager. Register now to place your bets.

These are two of the best programs in college football, and both have passionate fan bases that will likely pack the 70,000+ Mercedes-Benz Stadium on August 31, 2019, creating a bowl-like atmosphere.

Now, Alabama is leading the series between these two teams 3-1.

The last time these squads faced each other on the gridiron was back in 2010, with the victory going for Alabama 62-13.

Alabama Crimson Tide

Although Alabama has defeated Duke 3 times, they are coming from a loss at the National Championship game back in January, which they lost to the Clemson Tigers 44-16.

Crimson Tide is a team with one of the best rosters in NCAA college football and,  even though they had some significant departures (Josh Jacobs and Damien Harris), they are still quite capable of winning games. Because they still count with players such as Najee Harris, who’s likely to be taking on the starting quarterback role for the Crimson Tide.

Duke Blue Devils

The Blue Devils are coached by David Cutcliffe, an Alabama native who got injured playing high school football, an event that prevented him from playing with the Crimson Tide.

Nick Saban, Alabama’s coach, had some great words of praise for Duke’s coach, saying that “We have a tremendous amount of respect for David, and he’s offensively probably one of the best minds in this era of our game.”

The Blue Devils will be quite young this season as the team is facing a lot of injuries within its roster.

Plus, they experienced some significant departures to the NFL.

And so they are rebuilding, trying to create the same kind of capable roster that has kept this team as one of the ablest ones in college.

The good news is that they still count with great running backs such as Brittain Brown and Deon Jackson, making their rebuilding process a lot easier.

Game Stats

Head to Head

  • All games in this series since 1996
  • ALABAMA is 1-1 against the spread versus DUKE since 1996.

Taking place at the Antel Arena in Montevideo, Uruguay on the 10th of August, 2019, UFC Fight Night 156 will be featuring an exciting bout between Valentina Shevchenko and challenger Liz Carmouche.

This will be a fight for the Flyweight title, and it will serve as revenge for Shevchenko, who lost a bantamweight bout against Carmouche back in 2010.

But now, it’s a 125-pound title that’s on the line, and Shevchenko is currently undefeated at this division, making her the UFC Fight Night 156 odds favorite.

Recalling Their First Bout

Shevchenko and Carmouche 2 faced each other almost a decade ago with the latter being the big winner. The doctor of the match was forced to stop the action as Shevchenko received a cut on the eyebrow.

According to Carmouche, she was supposed to fight Shevchenko’s sister, who was more in alignment with her.

“I was actually supposed to fight her sister. Because we had a very similar record, both new to MMA, both very inexperienced, and then you have Valentina, who’s been doing it at least 10 years. We took the fight anyway, and we were able to pull off the win, cutting her.”

Now, that’s Carmouche’s recall of the situation. But, when you ask Shevchenko about it, she mentioned that she was still in good conditions to continue with the fight.

And so Shevchenko feels that this bout was basically stolen from her, and she definitely wants revenge!

Shevchenko vs. Carmouche 2 betting odds: Current Champ Is Favorite

The Kyrgyzstani–Peruvian fighter is coming to this bout after winning three straight fights, with her latest victory being a successful title defense vs. Jessica Eye.

And she won her current title during the fight, previous to that one, at UFC 231 vs. Joana Jedrzejczyk.

Shevchenko was the favorite on those two occasions, as she usually is in most of her fights. It’s no surprise that the UFC odds are also favoring her this time around to get the win.

With that said, Carmouche, who’s coming from winning two straight, believes she’s the one that will be holding her hand up after the fight is over.

“I’ve seen all the different outcomes. I like to play every possibility, but every possibility is my hand in the air.” The title contender said.
