CFL Preview Week 5 Part One
HRWager’s CFL Preview Week 5 starts off with what we can learn from the riveting action last time round. Here we had Ottawa atop the league as the only unbeaten out of the nine teams. Hamilton turned in a stellar performance that suggests that they have rounded the corner. With four distinct days of play this week, we have both excellent entertainment value plus profitability. Good fortune to us all as we look to expand our bankrolls by investing in the CFL.
CFL Preview : High on Hamilton
Hamilton is your team that is going to show up on everyone’s radar real soon. 31-7 demolition was no fluke. Now Montreal is bad but the way that the Ti-Cats dispatched them was impressive. Their defensive line is the best in the league at getting to the quarterback. Nevis, Tracy, Chick, and Laurent can all motor and disrupt the play. Zach Collaros is on the six game injured list but his return at QB should see a team that is hitting their stride. They open as a +4 point underdog on the road verse Edmonton on the 23rd of this month.
Edmonton in Trouble
Edmonton is 2-1 but are leaking points on the defensive side. Now some CFL teams can survive that but the Eskimos offense is too concentrated to be long term effective. Passing attack sees Derel Walker and Bowman get nearly 3/4 of all the passing yards from Mike Reiley. This is a problem for Hamilton. If the TI-Cats do their home work, their pass rush should stagnate the passing attack of the Eskimos. Edmonton is very fortunate to get Hamilton without their star quarterback at home this week.
Well this has turned into almost exclusive coverage of Hamilton and Edmonton. Big game with two teams that could be going in opposite directions afterwards. We will see what the market bears but the TI-Cats have great value for Saturday’s game. Good fortune in this and we will preview the other three CFL games during the week here at HRWager.
