CFL Week Five : Plunder these Previews

CFL Week Five

Football action to load up on is here for CFL Week Five.  Teams are now a known quantity so there are trends to exploit.  While our oddsmaker is forced to put lines on every game, we can use our experience and dedication to the CFL to selectively strike at profit.  We already have our Calgary Free Pick so let us look at the rest of the menu.  What are the ripest morsels to pluck for profit for the benefit of our bankrolls this weekend?

CFL Week Five : Ten Days to Work

Can BMO Field see improvement from their Argos after ten days off?  They get to host Montreal which stunk up the joint in their lopsided loss against Hamilton.  What the Argos have going for them is an above average defense.  Do not put too much criticism on their performance against Ottawa as the RedBlacks are one of the more complete teams in the league.  With the Alouettes sputtering all over the place, it is hard to see this being within a touchdown.  Argos -6 on the Monday game starting at 7:30 PM.

Time of Possession

Saskatchewan has a ball control offense which is somewhat of a rarity in the CFL.  They lead the league in time of possession which is good and bad.  They have not thrown and interception and are third in passing yards.  However, it comes at a huge cost.  The Rough Riders trail early and have little hope of pulling even.  Also, their defense is porous which allows for teams to score quickly.  On Friday, they play host at 9PM to Ottawa.  Top offense will marchup and down on them.  Defense will be free rolling as the Sask options are dependable but do not have that jail break ability.  Road team dominates here so spend the -6 on Ottawa Friday night.

Lots of profit and we have not gotten to the game of the week.  Hamilton and Edmonton will be a war on Saturday evening.  Pivotal game for both this season.  We are going to save that preview for tomorrow.  Good fortune in these CFL offerings and we will see you next time here at the HRW.
