Our college football line alert pinged on our radar. HRWager does not fear the superstition of Friday the 13th as this is one of those plays that our linesmaker has wrong. He does love his mathematics and computer models but he often disregards the human condition in his equation. USC has to travel to Colorado for a Pac 12 matchup on Friday. Find out here at HRWager which team will be motivated beyond the number the oddsmakers associate with them.
College Football Line Alert : Fast Start
Stark differences in opening strategy or results have been seen during and post Sarkisian. Steve had both the flash and the fury as his teams often came out to very fast starts. True they faltered in the end, but now the current regime under Helton wants a quick trip to the past. Sluggish starts have hindered his teams to the tune of 49-17. Part of this problem is the disrespect they feel for opponents still. Even after a disappointing season, they want to look past others as being inferior. This was what happened against Arizona after they got waxed by Washington to the tune of 46 points. Players have gone on the record stating that lesson learned and they will not do this again.
Battling Through it All
One weakness that Colorado has is their rushing defense. The Buffaloes are ripe to be exploited by the freshman Ronald Jones II. He came through with 177 yards which included a 74 yard bolt from the heavens for a score. Now we do not want to discount a 4-6 Colorado team but their wins are mostly against scrubs. Oregon State was a decent conference win and the moral loss against UCLA was good for their program but that is it. While in the Big 12, they could keep up in recruiting but in the Pac 12 they are unable to compete. There is little direction left for this team as the season is over for them.
This is all about imposing their will. When focused, this clowning USC team can produces results. They have the capacity to destroy solid football as they did against Utah. The – 3 1/2 first quarter is so dependent on whom gets the ball first. Why trust a coin flip and instead opt for the fast start with the – 7 1/2 for the first half. A little bit more in vig but very solid. Good fortune in our USC wager and we will see you next time here at HRWager.
