COPA USA Quarterfinal Free Pick vs Ecuador 6/16

COPA USA Quarterfinal

COPA USA Quarterfinal were a string of words not thought to be going well together on June 16th.  Colombia had dashed the hopes of the USA by beating them 2-0 to open up Group A.  Now not only have the Americans rallied but they won the entire grouping.  Now they get to place a familiar foe in Ecuador. The three way lines for this 9:30 PM start are virtually even between the win for either team.  How will Jurgen’s men respond now that their backs are not against the wall?

COPA USA Quarterfinal : Key Venue

One of the main factors going for the USA is the venue.  They could not have drawn many better sites than Seattle for this QF.  Dubbed Soccer City USA, Century Link Field will be packed to the rafters with home naiton fans.  Most avid sports enthusiasts are familar with the stadium as the Seattle Seahawks call this home.  In tandem with this is a very recent result between the two although be it in a friendly.  USA beat Ecuador May 15th 1-0 but both nations were using it more to stretch legs and evaluate talent than a true test of strength.  But this will be playing in the minds of both nations going into this one.

Red Card : New Lineup

Jurgen went with the same lineup for all three of the group games.  Now that DeAndre Yedlin got a red and is a no go for this one.  Not only that but the USA has a bevy of seven players sitting on yellow cards for one more game before they come off the books.  Advancement is first and foremost but all three midfielders and the majority of defenders have yellows to consider.  Will this quench the fire for contact in this one?

Even the pickem line is near equal with the USA getting a little bit more vig at the price of -111.  America needs to advance in this one for the Jurgen tenure to continue.  The team has responded to his plight and will keep up the intensity in Seattle.  Clear case of advancement for the USA.  Avoid the three way and instead bet USA to advance in this one at -110.  Good fortune and we will see you later on here at the HRW.
