Golf Free Picks : Only One Historical Perspective

There is a reason why only two of the top ten will travel here this year.  Main reason is that past results do not carry over to current success here.  Former champions often fall flat.  Few have been immune to this effect.  One trend has been very successful here however.  Over 62 percent of the third round leaders have sealed the deal and took down the title.  This has played out time after time since 1970 and should be invested on for early Sunday Morning wagering.

Who to Start With?

This course translates decently for those that come in hot here.  Sadly with the big names skipping this event the last few years, those that win in the last month opt for this week off.  Not all is lost as Charley Hoffman is here for our wagering pleasure.  He won in San Antonio last month.  His lack of length off the tee is more than compensated by his recent ability to rise above the playing situation.  He is in our radar as well as Matt Kuchar.  A tie for third in his last tourney gives him the streak we need against a lackluster field.

This used to be an elite tourney.  It will be again when it gets a new course to play on in 2019.  However, we are golf fans and there still is profit to grind away at.  Wait until Wednesday for your Top Three and winners futures to see how the weather will play out.  Also Charley Hoffman and Matt Kuchar should be in your stable to run to the profit.  Good fortune this week and enjoy the action on the Golf Channel starting at 4PM EST on Thursday the 19th.
