Houston @ Kansas City

Even better in this trend is that the recent results are even hotter for the Royals.  12-1 in their last thirteen with their only lost to Verlander and the Tigers.  Now they Dallas Keuchel who is a beast in Houston but has had problems both on the road and as of late.  0-2 in his last three with an over 4.50 ERA.  His WHIP is a mortal 1.14 for him.  At least there has been little control issues as his 23 K’s to two walks is stellar.  In essence, big innings are getting to him as he can not slam the door shut as of late.

First Five Innings

Volquez has had it for the Royals this year but only for the start of the game.  In one of the more polarizing stats, he has 2.70 ERA with hitters not faring too well at the plate against him in the first four innings.  After that, he crashes hard with an ERA near 7 and hitters crushing him for a .323 rate at the plate.  Edinson has also done well with Houston on his resume.  5-2 at home against him.  Such a slanted playing field today and yet the Royals are the underdog.

Houston has made progress getting to 37-36 this season.  Away from home they are only 15-21.  Meanwhile the Royals are 38-33 and three back to the Tribe in the AL Central.  ML is +110 and the five inning line is +115 on the home town Royals.  HRWager advises the five inning line on Kansas City for this one.  Good fortune and we will see you next time here at HRWager.
