MLB Betting : Picking on the Twins?
HRWager’s betting selection for the day goes to the baseball diamond to start our pursuit to profit for September. Many people have picked on the Twins and dismissed their playoff chances. Despite the surge of teh Jays and Rangers, Minnesota has not tanked like Baltimore nor the Angels. Tonight they are a heavy home underdog against a team that has little to play for. Why is it that the visiting White Sox pegged as such a favorite going into tonight?
MLB Betting : The Sale is Over?!
One lone reason why the visitors are the favorite and his name is Chris Sale. This is an illusion when it comes to the Twins. His normal stats are 12-7 with a 3.20 ERA. Against the Twins, he is 1-3 with a 6.46 ERA. The only momentum breaker of personal note is that he is striking out batters by the boatload his last two games. He has struck out 29 in his last two starts despite the fact that his arm now has 229 innings on it. With his team going nowhere, the manager will keep Chris on a short leash in terms of innings pitched.
Tail These Twins
Tyler Duffey is building on an impressive rookie campaign. Ever since his horrid first start, he is 2-0 with a sub two ERA to counter that. Eduardo Nunez has stellar stats against both the White Sox and Sale. Brian Dozier posts a .305 batting average with power numbers that are eye popping. Five home runs and fifteen runs batted in put his team in a good position in case they need to out slug Chicago tonight.
An outright steal for an underdog is tonight. The Twins enjoy both success against Chicago and Sale. They are on a roll. Their games mean something compared to the White Sox. With so many innings on his arm, Sale’s night could be short even if he pitches well. Our HRW Play of the day are the Twins ML. Good fortune and we will talk to you tomorrow here at HRWager.
