MLB Picks on Yankees Rays for July 29th

We hope to continue our tradition of profitable MLB Picks here at HRWager.  Today, we tackle the Yankees Rays game this evening.  This last little surge by New York has them at 52-49.  Most of this has been as a result of their stellar starting pitching.  Now at 7PM we have the very up and down Nova taking the mound.  Momentum with him factors in even stronger than most pitchers in the league.  Let us examine how he enters this game and what the market should bear in this one on July 29th.

MLB Picks : Trade Rumors for Both

Both starters today have been motivated to bring their “A” games as of late because they are the focus of trade rumors.  Odorizzi is playing for a Tampa franchise that seems to consistently struggle.  Nova is in New York but has been battling to stay in the rotation.  Both pitchers have been doing well in their last three starts.  Jake seems to be the more consistent of the two so his numbers of a 1.05 WHIP with 16 Ks and two strikeouts should continue here.  Now Ivan is a pitcher cut from a different clothe.

Back and Forth

Constant travel of his to and from the bullpen and the starting rotation has had to wear on him.  He has sucked it up and done well once he heard that he is at the center of trade rumors in New York.  Toned down the walks to just five in his last three games with 17 strikeouts over the last 18.1 innings, this game will come down to whose offense at least has a hope of doing something tonight.  The total had been steady at 8 overnight but this morning it has finally dipped down to the 7 1/2 run level.

Tampa has just gotten home where their road woes saw them score three or less runs in their last five games.  Yankees eclipsed that both at home vs the Giants and in one of the three games at Houston.  With both teams clawing and scratching for runs, the ML here has had some Yankee movement from +113 down to +105.  Underdog road team is the correct decision to wager on today.  Take the Yankees ML for your free pick of the day.  Good fortune and we will see you next time here at HRWager.
