MLB Runline Wagering : Cleveland at Seattle 6/6

MLB Runline 6/6

HRWager’s MLB runline wagering alert has come into effect for Cleveland at Seattle on June 6th.  This matchup has two teams certainly going in opposite directions.  The Tribe have won five straight and swept the Royals to take the lead in the AL Central.  Seattle (31-25) was tied with Texas atop the AL West and promptly just got swept in their series to go three back in their division.  Now with a recent call up to the bigs, Seattle is the slight ML favorite.  Which dimension of the runline might be in play for this 1oPM Start?

MLB Runline Wagering : Totals

We like to see totals that open and get moved on the over when considering the runline.  8 went to 8 1/2.  Price on the over was at +105 and eased up to -110.  Projection for more runs gives us slightly greater degree of assurance that the runline will come in on the -1 1/2 side.  But which side should get this?  It is odd that a team that got swept by Texas and is starting a recent call up should be a home favorite.  James Paxton gave up eight runs (only three earned) in just under four innings against San Diego of all teams.  Manager Scott Servais implored him to not “get down and do the necessary work to get better by just going out there.”  This has the very real potential of just crushing the man’s spirit as something like this should not make it to press so early in a career.  He has faced Cleveland in 2015 and gave up four runs in almost five innings of work.

Bauer Slumping

Trevor Bauer has not won in his last four starts.  His recent momentum has a 4.74 ERA but against Seattle it is much worse.  0-4 with near a 7 ERA with Nelson Cruz just owning him.  Two extra base hits including a dinger going 5 for 7 against him.  All he needs to do is to do his part because the offense for Cleveland has been humming as of late.  9HR’s in their last three games have helped in this five game winning streak.  This will be against a Seattle team that has allowed a .376 BA in the last five games.

Frankly, this has the potential to be ugly for both teams.  Potential for lots of runs scored.  Action on the over is understandable at 8 1/2.  With all the momentum the Tribe has, the – 1 1/2 blow out potential in the alternate line has just two much going for it.  While being a slight dog, go for the gusto in the alternate run line Cleveland tonight.  Good fortune and we will see you tomorrow here at the HRW.
