NBA Free Pick : Golden State at Utah 3/30
HRWager’s NBA Free Pick looms large both in bankroll and playoff potential. Last night saw the Rockets *(37-38) come back from a 35-14 second quarter to beat the Cavs in Cleveland. This puts extra pressure on Utah (37-37) as both Houston and Dallas (36-38) are hovering near the 7th and 8th slots in the West. Golden State (67-7) are closer to cementing the overall #1 seed but still has the Bulls all time 72-10 record to aim for. Find out how heavy a favorite is Golden State and which side should be invested in for this 9PM start on March 30th.
NBA Free Pick : Line is -5 Golden State
This is an unusually lower number for the Warriors these days. Two factors to come into play here.
- Golden State hosted Washington last night. Warriors won 102-94 but GS had to pack up and travel for the second game in two nights at Utah.
- Utah is playing well defensively and had one of their better offensive outputs in blasting the Lakers 123-75.
This has not been a one night occurrence for the Jazz. Their three point ability has been on the uptick. Over ten made per game shooting at a 40.4 percent clip over the last ten have them surging as of late. An 8-2 recent mark has gotten them close to clinching a playoff spot. Hopefully, this will reverse the domination of Golden State over them in this exact stat. In their previous three matchups, the Warriors have had 15 more three pointers made than the Jazz.
Last Time Back to Back
San Antonio got them on the back end of the two consecutive games the last time the Warriors went through a similar scheduling stretch. This could explain a lot of what happened against the Wizards last night. Golden State took their time and only exerted themselves when they had to. A key 13-1 run gave them a 87-73 lead where they coasted from there. Energy will be the key to keeping a startling trend going against the Jazz. Golden State is 10-1 as of late against the Jazz. However, it took a Steph Curry three pointer in the late going to get a 106-103 win last time at Salt Lake City.
The Warriors have been an ATS fade as of late. 1-4 against the numbers that our linesmakers have put up. On the road, it has almost been as bad going 1-3-1. The initial offering was + 6 1/2 and has seen money come in on Utah. Now at +5, the Jazz still have profitability around them. HRWager’s NBA Free Pick is the Utah Jazz +5. Good fortune and we will see you later on today here at the HRW.
