NBA Free Pick Spurs @ Dallas 2/5

HRWager’s NBA Free Pick focuses on the Spurs traveling in state to face a tanking Dallas squad.  Since having the doors blown off of their bus by Golden State, Dallas has lost eleven of their last twenty.   They host a Spurs team doing very well but lost a key regular season statement game to those same Warriors.  With the home dog getting seven points, which ways will the winds of profit blow in from for our NBA Free Pick of the Day?

Attrition

Dallas has declined in large part to key injuries striking them.  Both Devin Harris and Deron Williams has missed significant time as of late.  Good news for Dallas backers this evening in that the hip problem of Williams is healed enough so that he will play tonight.  Thank goodness that the Mavs have an experienced coach that knows how to handle the ebb and flow of the regular season.  His rotations will give Dallas a stronger kick for the end of the season.  What is bad for us is that closer to game time will reveal his true intentions.  The onus of live wagering on or against Dallas takes on increased importance due to the flux in their lineup.

 

Old Men Missing

Duncan and Manu will both be out for this one.  Spurs fans knew this would be the case as decreased minutes would be certain for players of their advanced age.  San Antonio has reveled with infusing youth into their lineup.  Their high level of production is soon going to take a hit.  They need to find even more depth or see a decrease in production, covers, and out right wins in the next month.

Look for a Dallas cover this evening.  Williams coming back throws a monkeywrench in the models that the linesmakers over rely on.  Mavericks need to make a stand to staunch the bleeding.  While an outright ML upset is a tough one to pull the trigger on, the +7 seems ample for our purposes.  The HRW NBA Free Pick of the Day is Dallas plus the points.  Good fortune and we will see you tomorrow here at the HRW.
