NBA Free Pick : Utah at Golden State 3/9

Two tired teams limp into HRWager’s NBA Free Pick.  Golden State has had the pressure of their championship defense and run at the Bulls all time win record wearing on them.  They are starting to under perform against the lower level teams as of late.  Not only the Lakers loss but the narrow win against the Magic illustrate this.  However, they get to host a team that lost to Atlanta last night and have to travel.  This is reflected in the -13 spread for the home team for tonight’s late game.

NBA Free Pick : Lots of Turnovers

Over 45 turnovers in their last two games has countered the offensive flow that the Warriors have been known for.  When this happens, their shot selection quality also decreases due to the fear of just throwing the ball away without an attempt. A pivotal factor in this equation is that this has happened against bad teams.  Almost all of their six losses have come against the lower teams.  The Jazz are fighting for a playoff spot but are in the same realm as the Mavericks and Blazers whom Golden State had clunky performances against.  With a day to rest and practice, can the Warriors regain their handle on the ball?

Own Offensive Problems

Utah has been in the middle of lower offensive production these days.  In the first game of the back to back, Utah could not find their range.  Under 35 percent from the floor made it an almost easy win for the Hawks on the road.  Now with travel being thrown in the mix for the second game in as many nights, the defensive energy is expected to wane.  This is the reason why the spread is over double digits in this one.

3-9 as of late have the Jazz two games behind the Rockets for the Western Conference’s last playoff spot.  Rodney hood is leading their slump with sub par shooting.  Only Rudy Gobert has peaked and that is in the rebounding department.  Look for the Warriors to have the spacing they need to shoot.  Defensive pressure by the Jazz will be less than usual.  13 is a lot of points but the Warriors rebound big with a blowout tonight.
