A heavyweight tilt is the focus of HRWager’s NBA Picks for April 30th. Both the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs enter this series healthy. While injuries ravage other Western foes, these two teams are poised to put on a wonderful series for basketball fans. Our purpose at the HRW is to ramp up this excitement by allowing people the freedom to make money on their superior sports widsom. So sit back and enjoy this 2nd round war that starts at 8:30PM this evening.
NBA Picks : Spurs Favored
Team concept + home court trumps a terrific twosome in Game One. Westbrook and Durant are road dogs to the tune of + 6/12 points. Since the introduction of this line, the public is of the opinion that it is a fair offering. No sharp action moving it much here as people are divided about this game. Part of the reason for concern is the Thunder defense. Yes they won 4-1 against Dallas but the love to score mentality was present here. Can the Thunder play defense when their own offense will experience some limitations at the hands of the Spurs?
Old Men Out?
Here is where you see the sands of the hourglass passing before your eyes! Leonard, LaMarcus, and Danny are where your stability will be at with San Antonio these days. So the x factor are the veterans that got the Spurs all those titles. Can Duncan’s lateral movement be up to the task to cope with the slashing offense the Thunder like to run? How slow is Tony Parker now? Will Westbrook consume him on the offensive end? Will Tony’s passes be crisp enough to get the easy looks that the Spurs need in this one? Finally, can Manu score enough in this one?
This new hypermodern version of basketball put defensive minded teams behind the eight ball. They have to play well enough to keep the scoring down. Spurs can not win a shoot out. For all the great ball they played during the regular season, San Antonio is two different teams. Old and new will not be as cohesive as the Thunder tonight. Easy call here as take Oklahoma City plus the points this evening. Good fortune and we will see you tomorrow here at the HRW.
