NBA Predictions : Boston @ Atlanta 4/19

NBA Predictions

The most competitive series so far is the highlight for HRWager’s NBA Predictions for Tuesday April 19th. Atlanta barely saved home court advantage with a one point win over Boston the first time out.  Linesmakers are looking at today’s game as the Hawks surviving the wake up call last weekend.  A -6 point opening spread has ticked further south to -6 1/2.  Which way will the profit roll in on for this 7PM start?

NBA Predictions : Key Injury

Avery Bradley is most likely a no go for the rest of the opening round series.  He pulled his right hamstring in Saturday’s loss.  This is a key loss as he roams the perimeter playing defense very well.  On the offensive side of things, he is their second leading scorer for the Celtics.  In the fourth quarter without Bradley, Jeff Teague ran roughshod over the Celtics for the Hawks.  Now Boston has to answer this question : Do they go smaller or bring in another big man?  No revelations yet but this is a key development for the rest of the series as Game Two will be the litmus test to see if the Celtics can now even win two games let alone the entire first round.

Hawks’ Answers

Paul Millsap must be salivating if the Celtics opt to go even smaller.  Atlanta’s power forward has been on a scoring roll near the end of the season.  Boston restrained him to only 14 points and seven boards.  Atlanta will still have to buckle down on defense because whomever Boston brings off the bench can score.  Celtics have nine players that got seven or more points a game during the regular season.  Look for the Hawks to continue their winning ways at home as they have won 11 of their last 13 in Atlanta.

Loathe to say that Boston is going to burn a game but this is a major blow.  Most of the chess moves by both coaches will give the Hawks more advantages than the Celtics.  -6 1/2 is more than coverable for Atlanta.  The ML on the home team is an easy winner but should be put in a parlay with other selections for the evening.  Good fortune whatever way you invest in the Hawks and we will see you later today here at the HRW.
