NBA Tip: Clippers at the Nets 12 12
Our NBA Tip for December 12th takes on the question that deals with the Clippers and it being their year? While we saw the Warriors win the title, LAC made progress but ultimately fell short. They have adopted their ways and can play a physical brand of basketball when it suits them. Even in an 83-80 loss to the Bulls in their last game, they did not stand down when in past circumstances they would have slunk away. Now with some rest, they continue eastward to face the Nets. Can the Clippers cover the -6 spread for us this evening?
NBA Tip : Front Line
DeAndre Jordan is doing his best on the court to put past an offseason that saw him flip flop between teams. He has the second highest rebounding total in the league. His presence and evolution are the key components that will get them past hurdles that used to plague them. Brook Lopez might be been formidable to Griffin and them in the past, but should be handled with some ease this evening.
Riddick’s Ankle
This is the key to covering the spread. Will he regain his jumper tonight? All of the Clippers suffered from the field in Chicago due to their defense and the nature of back to back games. JJ has plenty of protection around him with scoring so he should not feel the pressure. When his offense is not forced is when he is at their best.
Blake is rested from his ejection and Bargnani had his once a month stellar performance already. The Nets have been hot at home but this is a bad matchup in every way for them. Only disinterest can keep this close and the Clippers are putting together complete efforts now. The minus six is not enough to thwart a cover spread by them.
