Our look at college basketball has led us to the NCAAM Free Pick for Utah at Wichita State. The Utes beat the Shockers last year to establish themselves as a force to deal with. This time around Utah is the only one who is ranked. However, Van Fleet is well on his way to full health. With a spread of only -3, can Wichita State keep their winning streak intact this time out?

Utah is a much different team on the road. A mortal 7-6 record was seen last year. This season has provided no gauge as this will be the Utes first road game. Even in neutral court appearances, they had the least productive games from an offensive standpoint. One dimension that needs to see improvement is the shooting stroke from Brandon Taylor. His percentage from the field is low for him. He has been compensating by finding the open man but they do not have this luxury tonight. They need concentrated scoring from him but can he do it against this Shocker’s defense.
VanFleet or Nothing
This is an overstatement to some degree. While he was out, the Shockers lost all there in a season tournament against major schools. Since his return, the ship has been righted. However, UNLV covered against them on the road. Tonight will all be a judgment on how far he has progressed with his hamstring injury. Fully healed and his explosiveness will determine the outcome.
Three is an awfully small amount of points to take Utah here. It actually polarizes the action to the Utes ML or a Shockers cover.
