New York Houston : Drastic Totals Movement

Market for moneyline has been steady as the New York price in the +120’s has been judged fair by the sharps.  Tanaka (NYY) and McCullers (Hou) have good momentum and pleasant weather to pitch in.  This has caused the totals market to been hit heavy in one direction.  Open of 7 1/2 has been pounded on the under.  Adjustment to seven has still not stopped the one way wagering on the under.  So what do the sharps see here that can cause such confidence?

 

Concerns About McCullers

Last three games has seen him issue 12 walks.  This has bloated his WHIP to 1.56 but has only resulted in an ERA of 2.56 in that stretch.  He is bailing himself out with a hefty 24 strikeouts during that period of time.  Houston has had the best pitching in the AL but now the surging Yankees could make a claim.  Their starters is how they are staying in the race even after they sold Chapman to the highest bidder this year.  Tonight Tanaka is hoping to extend his mastery on the road.  1.50 ERA is best in baseball and why the sharps have been chomping at the bit in this one.
