NFL Free Pick : Arizona at St. Louis
Having vanquished their division rival in Week Four, the St. Rams fell off of the map. 4-7 was not supposed to be the fate for this favorite dark horse selection to take an NFC wild card spot. Now with the season almost in tatters, can they muster the effort to thwart Arizona? The linesmakers came out with a + 5 1/2 spot on the home team with the public ping ponging the action between five and six. Where will HRWager come on in their Free Pick to Plunder for this 1pm starting game on Sunday?
Fischer Losing His Grip
Want to glean the level of desperation to keep his job? Look at two weeks ago with Case Keenum as an indicator. The NFLPA wants sanctions on St. Louis for keeping a clearly loopy Keenum on the field. All the steps and protocol for concussion determination were swept under the rug as St. Louis tried to save their season. After that loss, they essentially no showed against the Bengals in a 31-7 loss. Reason why we bring it up is that most of the time a strong willed coach can keep his team in line and play harder longer during a lost season. However, would the pros on the team want to go full out after seeing their QB put in harm’s way like that?
Both Sides Have Exploits on the Offensive Line
An easy target will at least have Ram Aaron Donal playing hard. He was held in check in week four against Zona. This time no Cooper but Ted Larsen comes in to start because of injury. His pass blocking is abysmal and should led to pressure and easy sacks for the Rams. Same thing for the Cardinals as Dwight Freeney is set to go off on Greg Robinson. Look for disruption for both offenses.
This is why the total has dropped from 44 1/2 to 42 1/2. Without the two extra points, it is a pass at this point However, the Cardinals have an offense that can produce. The Rams are very anemic and stumbling towards the finish line. HRWager says take the Cards minus the points in this one. Good Fortune and we will see you next time here at HRW.
