NFL News : Peyton Retires and DeMarco Shipped

HRWager’s NFL news deals with out with the old and so with the disgruntled.  Finally, the long anticipated Peyton retirement announcement came.  While not as prolonged of a process like LeBron going to Miami, the two time Super Bowl winning quarterback confirmed what most suspected.  This was not the only headline for the NFL as a meaningful trade was completed in all but signature yesterday.  So join your friends here at the HRW as we go over these major news stories.

NFL News : Trading in his Cleats?

Legions of fans tweeted their well wishes to Manning.  Tiger Woods was among them.  Not only hearty congratulation but an offer to trade his football cleats for those of golf.  He has invited Manning to play a few rounds since he might now have some spare time.  They have played a Pro-AM together a few years back.

New Home for DeMarco Murray

No high priced free agent last year floundered more than DeMarco Murray.  With no stellar Dallas Cowboys’ offensive line to run behind, the spread offense of the Eagles was not a good fit.  Now that Chip Kelly is gone, the Eagles decided to float trade offers to teams willing to take the disgruntled running back.  The Titans will are his new home.  Their offensive philosophy will be a better fit.  Hopefully, this fresh start will infuse the energetic running he used to have just two seasons ago.
