NHL Free Pick : Carolina at Boston 4/5
Tuesday sees HRWager’s NHL Free Pick be pivotal to the playoff hopes of the Boston Bruins. With three games left, they are one point behind Detroit and the Flyers. They have the better shot at catching the Red Wings because Philadelphia has a game in hand. With a 7PM EST start in Boston, Carolina has nothing really to play for but the spoiler roll in this one. The price difference between the money line and puck line is significant in this one. Can Boston stop their slide and possibly even pull of a puckline cover on 4/5?
NHL Free Pick : Price Difference
- Bruins ML -190’s to -200
- Boston PL (- 1 1/2) is +162
After getting slammed in Chicago 6-4, Boston can not halt the skid they are on. With only two wins in their last nine games, Boston has played themselves out of the playoffs heading into Tuesday. Part of this was the kiss of death the schedule makers gave them by having all but one in that stretch on the road. Good news is that if they win all three games they are in because they both play Detroit in this stretch and would own the tiebreaker over the Red Wings. Even when they win, the goals let in by Boston are plentiful. Part of this will be solved by having Dennis Seidenberg coming back to the lineup for this one.
Ten Goals Over the Weekend
The Bruins got ten goals in two games over the weekend. What is great here is that Carolina just got mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. They made a great push getting at least a point in 12 of the last 14. Hence, the team is tired and the possible younger skaters that can see more ice time will still be rusty. An ideal situation to pump it up on the Bruins.
Total of five goals on the over is -125 and is a good value. Carolina will not work the body and Boston is shooting well. That is for the conservative readers. For aggressive types, the PL at +162 is where the wagering should be. Go with these Free Picks and see your profit bloom on Tuesday. Good fortune and we will see you later today here at the HRW.
