NHL Free Pick : Oilers at Ducks 2/26

Age old question is at the crux of our NHL Free Pick for 2/26.  How many times out of left field can a young team loaded with talent derail a team that they normally should not?  This is the case as the Ducks have been on a red hot streak of 20-4-2.  With the Oilers going nowhere this season, what are the chances they can convert a +220 road ML into your pocket?  Welcome to HRWager as we examine if the Oilers are of value tonight or will the Kings continue to cash!

NHL Free Pick : Stay the Course

NHL Free Pick

Do not panic is a difficult stance to take when fans are clamoring for change.  The Ducks were horrid for the first two months but the general manager believed in the system with his players.  Patience rewarded with this streak.  Besides talent and goal tending, acceptance of roles is what keeps a team chugging along.  Egos have been non factor as chemistry is really good on this team.  Barring an injury to the goal tender, this team’s wagerability concerns are more for the post season and finding a higher gear.

Back to Back

Here is where the art of handicapping comes in.  Young team on the tail end of a back to back on the road in sunny California.  What is really despondent is that the Oilers let a goal lead in the third slip away for the loss in LA?  That was there best chance for the win in this string of games.  Now young players flush with cash get to spend it.  Normal temptation and another reason to not embrace the Oilers tonight.  Limited offense against the Ducks’ stifling defense is not an ideal recipe for Edmonton fans these days.

Puck line is – 1 1/2 at +115 compared to a -250’s line for the Ducks.  Two approaches.  For those that do not like the temporal nature of pucklines and late scoring opportunities, the Ducks ML in a parlay is your approach.  Otherwise the puckline is a flip of the coin that has some micro value on the Ducks.  Good fortune this evening but go with the Ducks ML parlay component for your bankroll this evening.
