Penguins @ Sharks : Game Four Free Pick 6/6

Penguins @ Sharks 6/6

Penguins @ Sharks for Game four with Pittsburgh leading 2 to 1 is set for 8PM EST tonight. San Jose rallied at home twice to take the last game.  Finally, the little things that the Sharks attempt to do were built into a complete effort.  This translated into a win and the optimism that has the linesmakers opening the home team as a -140ML favorite.  Where is the profit to be found in HRWager’s Game Four Free Pick to Plunder this evening?

Penguins @ Sharks : Hard Work

Good news and bad news duality for the last game.  Physical play was pivotal to the win.  47-17 was the advantage in body checks going the Sharks way.  This had a tangible effect in wearing down the Pens for overtime.  Conversely, San Jose barely won this in overtime and was down twice in Game Three.  Now with the Pens away from home to try to heal, will the loss of attrition seen late still be there?  The Sharks have been flirting with disaster by their slow starts.  If they can manage to keep even through the first twenty minutes of play, their plan will probably pay off in the end with another win.

Punchless Power Plays

Team that can put this facet of their plan together first should win the series.  San Jose had one pp goal in Game Two.  Last time out, Joel Ward scored as a result of the man advantage but it did not count for the special teams as the Penguin made it back to the ice when the puck found the back of the net last time out.  Can you imagine where Pittsburgh would be if they had this unit going?  Most of the success in this for the Sharks has to do with the play of Marc-Edouard Vlasic against Crosby.  Having the last line change option is so important in getting this matchup.  He blanketed him for over 25 minutes and kept Crosby scoreless.

Both the total of 5 1/2 on the over (+140) and the puckline +225 on the Sharks have plenty of profit to be had.  Unfortunately, only the puckline has the chance to come through.  Last line change will keep the Penguins under wraps.  Look for them to play even early and pour it on at the end for a Sharks advantage for most of the game.  -140 vs +225 is a big enough gulf to make the puckline – 1 1/2 on San Jose profitable.  Go with the puckline for your profit tonight.  Good fortune and we will see you later on here at the HRW.
