Texas-Minnesota MLB Free Pick July 1st

Texas-Minnesota     Texas-Minnesota has the Rangers entering July on the heels of a two game losing streak. One of the hottest teams in the majors might just be cooling off.  Their visit to the lowly twins has the home team as a very slight underdog at +103.  Does Santana provide them that much of a cushion against one of the better teams in baseball?  Let us answer this question and supply the free pick to profit by right now at HRWager.

Texas-Minnesota : Intangibles

The little things start to slip right before the wheels on the bus start to wobble.  Losing two in a row at the Yankees is not the end all but how they blew it on Thursday might be a harbinger.  Not many teams lose a one run game on a passed ball walk off but the Rangers found the way in this 2-1 loss.  Now they get Santana to try and warm their bats up against.  He presents few problems in the previous three starts.  WHIP is right near 1.40 with an ERA of 4.15.  At least he is not self destructing with walks having only two in his last three starts.  Easy outs via the K are missing as well with him on ringing up seven.

Perez is No Peach Either

Perez has been worse in the same stretch than the Twins starter tonight.  1.53 WHIP with more walks than stirkeouts.  Texas has given him a 2-0 record in the three games which testifies to their offense bailing him out.  Minnesota has gone on record as part of them being in last in the AL Central is them getting buried early in games by their pitching.  While Perez leaks runs, the Rangers have the much better chance to exploit the lackluster pitching today.

Total of nine has morphed into 9 1/2 rather easily here.  Gap in the runline is near 50 points as the runline of – 1 1/2 is +135.  Beltre, Fielder, and Moreland have all crushed Santana in the past.  HRWager advises to go for the gusto and do the runline in this one.  Good fortune and we will see you later here at the HRW.
