UFC Fight Night 88 Free Picks 5/29

UFC Fight Night 88 free picks

Memorial Day weekend sees UFC Fight Night 88 moved to Sunday Night.  Great way to bring profit into that extra day off to start the week.  Las Vegas is the scene after so many of these editions have gone to foreign venues.  Today, we will focus on the preliminary card.  Fox Sports 1 has the broadcast for this section starting off at 7PM EST.  So let us see where the profit is plucked from in this contact sports fest on the holiday weekend.

UFC Fight Night 88 : Ladies Highlight Prelim Card

We will start with the headliner of the Prelim card.  Sara McMann vs Jessica Eye in the bantamweight division.  Do not want to sound corny but since Tate finally got the title, most every women’s hopes have risen that they too can get to the championship level.  McMann is 8-3 and has seen her career slide off the map since a loss to Rousey back in 2014.  One win in last three tries with Nunes making her tap in really rapid fashion.  Jessica Eye has lost her last two as well but to Tate and Pena.  The Evil Eye will be looking for a vertical striking game while Mcmann is a silver medalist in wrestling.  Lines on this one are muddles with Sara being -160 ML and the total on the over going 2 1/2 rounds is -260.  No way that Jessica wins a long fight here.  The play is Sara McMann -160 ML as she holds the dominant skill set in this one.

Koch’s Ring Rust

Erik Koch is 14-4 but have not been in the ring for over a year.  Bunch of little nagging injuries have kept him out.  This affects his fitness and crisp striking.  He had a title shot at Aldo but could not stay healthy.  After that, he is in a 1-3 slump which is coming close to crushing his career.  Shane Campbell (12-4) is playing the company man role by being the late substitute in this bout.  This is no concern as his kickboxing career is astounding where he has 62 wins.  He is the favorite here at -165.  Campbell should have little problem wearing down Koch in this one.

Our free pick to profit by has both minor chalk favorites to cover and win in the Prelims.  UFC Fight Night 88 has a great card to profit by.  Tomorrow we will have speculation on the main card.  Good fortune and we will see you on Saturday here at the HRW.
