US Open Tennis Goes Into Final Week

Center court for our US Open Tennis coverage takes place this Saturday.  The men are in the highlights of our wagering prognostication.  Can a tired Andy Murray rise to the occasion or does his opponent stand a chance in keeping within the spread?  Read on to find out which way the wind blows in this one from HRWager.

Us Open Tennis Stumbling Murray

To highlight the positive is to say outloud that Andy Murray is still in it.  Four and five set matches can not help his energy level but he did dig deep to beat Adrian Mannario in five sets after being down two sets.  Now he gets a player that has handled him in the past.  Thomaz Bellucci beat him in Madrid in 2011 and is playing well in this tournament.  Our Free Pick here is to take Bellucci in the neighborhood of eight game spread against Andy Murray.

Seppi Was a Test?!

Well Novak had to encounter opposition at some time.  He did not drop a set but he did get tested in a 6-3, 75, and 7-5 win against #25 Seppi.  The good news is that his serve and groundstrokes are working very well together this week.  Meanwhile, Roger has not even had to breath hard yet.  Steve Dacis took all of eighty minutes to put down.  However now he gets an enigma in Kohlschreiber.  The German is the #29 seed and has to the tool to not beat Federer but throw his flow out of kilter.  This is a dangerous match for Roger as it could halt all of his momentum going forward.

So good luck in your tennis speculation as the US Open enters its second week.  Make sure you get your wagers in now with our free pick.  Murray will probably win but Bellucci has the tools to make this more than tough enough.  Happy Labor Day to all those that reside in the United States this Monday.
