Washington State Boise State : Late Night College Football Free Pick 9/11
After an action packed week one, Washington State Boise State affair on Saturday could answer a lot of questions for your mid major type teams. Good morning and Happy Labor Day. We are still recovering both from the holidays and that double OT Texas late night win. With eyes ahead to next week, doing one’s homework on the late night games can prevent panic if the day’s events go outside your projections. This time we have a woeful Pac 12 team that is relying on history to make a rebound from losing to yet another FCS team in their home opener.
Washington State Boise State : Oddsmakers Not Buying It
A +10 1/2 opener got to +11 right away on Washington State. Big reason for this and it is not just that they lost to FCS Eastern Washington at home 45-42. It was how they lost. Cougars got dominated at home in the third quarter. The all important period of time where the better coaching staff is supposed to assert themselves in the locker room to make those in stream changes. WSU allowed a sophomore QB of a small school in his first start ever throw for 474 yards and make 34 of his 40 passing attempts. Absolutely bush league defense. No amount of work this week is overcome this. Even if the WSU coach can ferret out a correct path, the team does not have the horses to get to where this team needs to be. It can stop no one at this point.
How Much Progress for Boise State Defense?
Seven players on the BSU side of the ball on the defense were making their first or second starts. They came through as the Broncos stifled Louisiana by the score of 45-10. Boise State’s offense looked in fine form as out of their first five drives, four of them resulted in touchdowns. That this team will be able to score at home against Washington State is given. Entire key revolves around Washington State’s QB!
Luke Falk could have gone pro and probably been taken in the second round. He stayed in part to polish his game and get the Cougars beyond a nine win season last year. With the FCS loss in week one, he now has to win the Pac 12 to get to where he will be picked higher. He will have a good performance on the Smurf Turf up in Boise but will it be enough to cover being a double digit dog. We did the homework and crunched the numbers. Take Boise State at home spotting the -11 as your late night Free Pick to Profit by for Week Two of the College Football season when it comes out. Good fortune and we will see you later today here at HRWager.
